CACE Spring Conference

Dr. Terry Hofer and Dr. Kevin Perks have co-presented at the Winter CACE Conference for
several years. We are humbled to submit this proposal to provide a first of its kind CACE Spring
Conference on April 12-13, 2023.

The school improvement journey is often multifaceted and unique to each school’s specific
context. In addition, it is typically both rewarding and challenging. However, if educational
leaders are able to put coherence-building processes into practice, through an established
framework of multiple priorities and focus areas, they can leverage existing assets to overcome
challenges and meet their goals. Therefore, during this two-day conference, participants will
become familiar with high leverage practices for driving improvement efforts, including
simulated school improvement activities.
Districts are encouraged to bring teams of individuals who play important roles in their school’s
improvement journey, including central office administrators, principals/assistant principals,
departments heads, coaches, and teacher leaders. Each district team may look different based on
the individual needs and goals of the district.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
By the end of the two-day conference, CACE participants will be able to:

  1. Identify high leverage practices for driving improvement efforts.
  2. Reflect on how the identified practices can help to lead consistent implementation of
    high-priority initiatives.
    2 of 2
  3. Consider how the identified practices can be used to assess, adapt, monitor, and respond
    to improvement goals.

We can’t wait to see you all in Falmouth!
